Marine fuel oil supply & conditioning system
fuel oil booster unit
clean, consistent fuel delivery to the engine, in any configuration.
The HFU Series Fuel Oil Booster Unit controls the cleanliness, pressure, temperature, viscosity and flow rate of fuel ahead of the engine. Built to a compact, modular layout that can be configured around the engine or engine-room's own layout, it has supplied over 400 ships worldwide since 2004 and is certified across major classification societies in line with IMO requirements.

Class-society certified, IMO-compliant
fuel oil booster unit
Compact and reliable, the HFU Series controls fuel cleanliness, pressure, temperature, viscosity and flow rate ahead of the engine, with a modular design that adapts to the engine or engine-room layout.
built for the job
Ten models cover a wide capacity range, all built to the same compact, reliable configuration for continuous engine-room duty.
Fuel consumption
≤1,000–10,000
L/H across 10 HFU models
Fuel viscosity
Max 700

automatic operation & fail-safe control
The system operates and maintains itself automatically. A PLC-based intelligent alarm system provides complete fault detection, alarm and changeover control, and manages HFO / MDO / MGO fuel-type conversion with a stable, controlled change in temperature and viscosity.
Outlet pressure
15 bar max
Outlet temperature
160°C max
Inlet pressure runs 0–2 bar with an inlet temperature up to 100°C — see the full technical data table under Tech Specs.

Main advantages
- Class-society certified, IMO-compliant design — over 400 units in service since 2004
- Flexible configuration to match engine or engine-room layout, including automatic cooling and emergency motor fuel supply
- Imported viscosity-control components (Japan, Europe, US) protect the fuel pump and injectors from sudden temperature change
- Humanised layout designed around crew working habits — easy to operate, disassemble and service
- Continuous automatic cooling supports low-sulphur fuel handling while protecting the fuel pump and maintaining lubrication
- Compact, reliable construction built for continuous-duty operation
engineered for low-sulphur, multi-fuel operation
Low-sulphur fuel effectively reduces harmful emissions but is difficult to process. An advanced automatic cooling system solves this through continuous, controlled cooling — protecting the fuel pump from viscosity loss and maintaining lubrication for the best combustion result.
